Another push for companies to join in on the fun of the 3rd annual Public Lands and Waters Yard Sale to benefit Backcountry Hunters & AnglersThis year's sale is coming October 22nd-November 4th and we already have commitments from 25 top companies across hunting, fishing and outdoors landscape. What's in it if your company joins?1. You're providing critical fuel for a funding source that helps BHA fulfill it's mission of being the voice for North America's wild public lands, waters and wildlife. Funds raised will go directly to things like large scale habitat improvements and cleanups, advocating to keep public lands...public, helping battle the corner crossing issue, organizing volunteers to show up for what they believe in like defending the North American Model of Conservation and SO MUCH MORE.2. Clear out unwanted inventory. Blow the dust off those boxes in your warehouse, your overstocks, packaging changes, slight blems...we can take those items and open up your storage space. 3. Tax Deduction-everything you donate becomes a tax donation because we're a 501C3 non profit! Dont send your inventory to a discounter, send it to us and take the full scale deduction.4. Advertising for your brand. BHA members and supporters are wildly loyal to the brands that support us. Pre-promotion and the subsequent sale is going to have thousands of eyeballs on it. Couple all that with features to our email list, social media channels, the podcast and other avenues....it's a win for your brand. Also, did I mention that 76% of our members are below 55 years old? It's a highly desirable demo for sure!5. My undying love and support. That's got to be worth something. Please let me know if there are any questions and thank you for considering!

If there are people in the photo that is fine, but will not be included in the drawing.Artwork will be created using different materials: pencil, crayons, digital, marker, etc. Part of the fun is not knowing what you will get.Be prepared for some bad artwork.Better quality photos are preferred, but with a large group of mostly awful artist, it might not make much of a difference. This is a purely digital fundraiser. Big announcement! As you know, I've been pouring my heart and soul into my first feature documentary, "The Invisible Mammal," since 2019. We have relied mostly on individual donations to keep our film going over the years. Lack of funding has created many roadblocks, but we kept our eyes on the prize and never lost hope. A few weeks ago, we received a matching donation of $25,000 to continue editing this summer. This donation was a complete game changer for our production and post-production team. We were able to hire talented editor Heidi Zimmerman and technical wizard KC Cory T. as assistant editor and we are now making great progress on the film. We have to raise the additional $25K this summer to keep the film on track for an early 2025 festival release. Our team is planning a number of events around the Bay Area and online this summer, including the first one on June 27 in Burlingame (link to register for event in comments), co-sponsored by CITIZENS ENVIRONMENTAL COUNCIL OF BURLINGAME INC, BURLINGAME WOMANS CLUB, Byrd's Filling Station and Peninsula Clean Energy. You can also make a tax-deductible donation online using our DonorBox to help us reach our goal:https://lnkd.in/gwtG4zzMI will list a few other ways to support our film in the comments below. Please feel free to reach out directly to me if you have questions about the film, or ideas about how you can help! #bats #batconservation #documentary #wildlifeconservation #womeninscience #womeninfilm #independentfilm

Graphic warning: Disturbing images & content discussed. Every year, thousands of Spanish hunting dogs are thrown off bridges, hung, or discarded in the most brutal ways – just for not being ruthless killers.Over the years, we've been progressing in protecting these vulnerable dogs, but the parade of death continues, with half a million dogs being bred each hunting season. The despicable torture and abuse these dogs go through is truly horrendous. Those who aren’t killed for being ‘useless’ to the hunters are starved and dehydrated to hone their aggression. Dogs are tied to cars and made to run for miles; those that fall are dragged behind the vehicle, sustaining grievous injuries. We and our partners regularly launch rescue missions to save dogs facing the worst of the abuse. In 2023 alone, our teams rescued nearly 1,800 dogs from horrific suffering, facing harassment and even death threats along the way. This success is largely credited to your donations. We are currently preparing another rescue operation, and you can help us make it a success. Find out how your donation, even as little as $5 (£3.90), will make a life-saving impact and support this crucial mission today: https://bit.ly/NFA_SPGA08L. 🐕#NFADogs #NetworkforAnimals #NFA #NFAGalgos #GalgosdelSur #SpanishGreyhounds #GalgosRescue #AnimalWelfareSpain #StopAnimalCruelty #EndAnimalAbuse #AnimalRightsActivism #SaveGalgos #JusticeForGalgos #SaveSpanishGalgos #StopGalgosAbuse #GalgosAdvocacy #GalgosRights #AnimalWelfare #Galgos

But, should we map out the bathrooms? 🤷♀️ We've got a fascinating and entertaining new event planned on Sat, June 29. It's our Day in the Country Farm, Barn & Ag Tour, which offers a chance to explore behind-the-scenes at working farms and get up close and personal with cattle, chicks, the crops that are grown and even alpacas. There's a lot to do in order to prepare, including pulling together the insurance, making signs for the stops and developing a map for people to follow from location to location. We're working with a great mapmaker and illustrator, Tom Willcockson (highly recommend), and one of the questions that came up internally was "should we point out where people can find bathrooms along the route?" 🧻Seriously, in running a nonprofit, or really any business, the details and decisions never end, do they? We have this beautiful map. Are we going to mark it up with bathroom symbols? We decided not to. Everyone has to start at one of two stops to pick up their wristbands for the tour. Both of those locations have bathrooms as do several stops along the tour, so we'll give them a heads up when we hand off their wristbands and the map. Should be fine... Right? 🤞What burgeoning on the absurd or minute details decisions have you had to make lately? By the way, if you're interested in learning more about our tour, joining us or even becoming a sponsor, get more details here: https://lnkd.in/ggU_eU7A#iandmcanal #nonprofit #illinois #community #MidwestHistory #CelebratingHeritage #IllinoisHistory #NationalHeritageArea #HistoricIllinois #CommunityEvent #CulturalHeritage #LocalLegacy #agriculture #agritourism #agtour #barntour #farmtour
